Karen Simpson, Stager - Designer, Can Turn Straw into Gold!

Whether vacant, or in need of a few decorating adjustments, to highlight and accentuate architectural attributes & features, Karen’s eye for creative expression and style can transform an ugly duckling into the handsome prince with style and grace.
Due to a job transfer, I asked Karen to stage a three year young vacant home for me. The home showed like a brand new home and I was regularly asked if the home had even been lived in?  Yes, but with all the furnishings gone, the gracious style of the home and its many features were overlooked by buyers and agents alike.
For this particular project, she used bold colors to draw the eye to various features, added soft goods to easily-overlooked areas, and added warmth to what was a gracious but empty home.  She staged all three bathrooms, added a few strategic furnishings to various focal points throughout the home, and it soon sold.

It had been a long time that I had struggled with wanting to upgrade my kitchen and dinning room. The kitchen is small and the adjoining dinning room is small with a red brick wall and fireplace. Both rooms have wooden floors. So, knowing Karen's (DBA Designs by K) reputation as an outstanding Interior Designer, Real Estate Stager I called her and asked for her professional advice.

She came over and in a few moments gave me a plan to upgrade the kitchen
and her suggestions for paint colors that would make the kitchen warm and
the dinning room "Pop."

I took her advice, had recessed lighting installed, bought a new stove and
refrigerator and put wooden blinds on the window. The dinning room and
kitchen were painted two different shades of muted sandstone. Later she
came back and arranged five of my favorite pictures over the fireplace that really
made the room special.

My kitchen and dinning rooms were transformed into a bright, warm and
hospitable center of the house. The difference was amazing and I am so happy with
the results. Her attention to detail is amazing.

I am truly grateful to Karen for her professional advice and assistance. Her communication skills are excellent. She made sure that I was aware of all the design aspects as they progressed. She is the best!
